Hello,
I want to register for new PF and ESI account in Jharkhand. Just confused with some of the below mentioned points:
1> Do i need to take new sub account for ESI when I start a branch in different state.
2> As a temp staffing service provider do I need to pay any deposit to ESI, If yes how is the deposit recovered.

Dear Williams,
Answers are mentioned below:
1> Do i need to take new sub account for ESI when I start a branch in different state.
=> Yes, you have to. Other wise the employees will not get the benefit from local hospitals.
2> As a temp staffing service provider do I need to pay any deposit to ESI, If yes how is the deposit recovered.
=> There no such deposit is required while getting registered for ESI, apart from the fees which is any ways non-refundable.

Answer for question No.1- Yes . you should take esi sub code.
Answer for question No.2- No separate deposit is required for taking sub code. But if you are for main code then you have to deposit the 6 months ESI amount since you are a temp staffing provider. The ESI amount has to be calculate on the minimum wages. So there is no need of paying the ESI amount for the first 6 months. If the amount of wages is more than minimum wages then the ESI payment has to be made less than already paid has deposit.
