Hi Friends
I need your help here. i am a fresh HR in a private company. its been 2.5 months that i m working here. i have got a task to give presentation on motivating employees of my organization. Mine is a training centre wherein we have Ex Army Servicemen as trainers. we also have doctors as our faculty.
I am in need of some good ideas of how can i make my 8- 10 minutes presentation a very lively one with great participation from employees side.
Thanks & regards

Mr. Symahavir,
We have a total of 35 Employees as trainers. We send them to various locations in punjab (mostly interior). We are organizing a dinner party for them in which my boss is telling em to give them a little motivational lecture of about 8 to 10 minutes. Now i m in a fix as in i m in my early 20's and the employees i hv to give motivation lecture are mostly in there 50's and 60's.
I expect that there shall be a +ve effect of my slide showing and a lil talk to them and they should start concentrating on there job rather than complaints and politics where they are aggresively engrosed into.

Age doesn't matter.
Observe the weak areas in their performance. Analyse the root cause. It may be:
-They are near retirement. So may not bother about performance.
-They have great job security, So they take things lightly.
-They are not ambitious. Help them set their goals.
-They have not done Succession Planning. Help them in that direction.
In the process, tell them that you are not teaching or preaching. You are just sharing your ideas. Add that you may be wronb. Give them credit for their experience. Request them to share their views. Ask them how they can guide rest of you for development of the Company.
Your tone should be that they know more than you, so you are asking them. In reality under the cover, you are teaching them.
Final question to them - How can they contribute to the Company more than they have done so far.
You can even use World Cafe technique to involve them.

hi,
1. i am quite agree with vidhisha, what you need to first gell up with all employees in your organisation, to feel them thats your not harmful to them anymore frank means not total frank just gell up first need to understand from close.
2. while taking motivation class keep smile on you you look fresh at that movement.
3. always explain benifits of your company and further growth and they can grow with this organisation in future .
4. if your company related to FMCG product saleing then its more critical to motivate. but its easy.
5. explaining in detail and then revise your Q so they will clear with all
6. most important learning is very important rather then explaining. take them into BLOOMS
