Dear All,
I want to know as per the New notification of EDLI scheme on dated 08/01/2011 for increase in limit from Rs. 100000/- to Rs. 130000/-, how should we calculate the benefits in these situations, which mentioned below.
1) If a member died after 5 days after registering with EPF.
2) If a member died after 3years of services.
In there any service period require to avail the benefit of EDLI?
Your valuable response in this regard would highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance....

Dear Sunil Sharma, Only one day attendance will do to avail EDLI. For the above two cases, the EDLI amount will be 20xsalary, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 1,30,000. Abbas.P.S
