Dear Bipin,
There is no formul for LWF calculation, if any employee work for one day in a month and he get salary for that day LWF contribution must paid by both employee & employer @ Rs.10 and 20. LWF contribution one the basis of per employee @ Rs.10.

Each Employee will contribute 3 Rs and employer will contribute 6 Rs ( Director and higher... will not contribute in employee contribution )
The payment will be deposit to concern labor office in the month of JUNE AND DECEMBER twice in a year.

As per the latest amendments in kerala all the establishment which comes under Shops and Commercial establishment Act has to be enrolled under the Kerala Shops and Commercial establishment workers welfare Fund Scheme. Ie in kerala Labour welfare fund is now Workers welfare Fund. Each employee has to contribute Rs 40 per month.

I have a query for states where gross earning needs to be checked with the earning range given in LWF specially states like Maharashtra.
For states where LWF calculation is done 'Half Yearly', do we need to first sum 6 months gross earning and then match with the LWF earning range to determine the employee and employer contribution?
