Hi Sneha,

Relieving letters and experience letters can be merged together. Most companies prefer this so as to save on paper and make the process hassel free. As there have been a continuous rise in completing of F&F formalities in as much short time as possible, this methodology works out for them.

However, still there are companies which issue relieving letter once the employee leaves and experience certificate when all F&F formalities have been completed which may take from 30-45 days' time. Therefore, its easier for companies to relieve them as soon as possible so as not to deter ex-employees from pursuing their respective ambitions at least as their future employers want proof that their candidates have been released officially and legally by their ex-employers. Relieving letter, here, provides future employers a guarantee that this person has completed all his formalities, paid his dues and is not lying/forging his CV/Resume.

It all depends on a company's policy and way of working.

Hope this helps.

Hi imam,
As per my experience where i worked in different MNC Companies before, usually with the guidance of my seniors,I have given it separately. But the relieving letter is issued only the firm that informing the candidate to relieve the roles and responsibilities from the job and hand over to other person. Most of the companies may merge as to save paper or finishing the work soon.
Any way I think it depends the company policies and procedures within the firm.Guide me if you get exact answer.

Hi Mr. Jin,
I agree with you but you wrote that it can not be merged, hence asked to you.
I know it's depend on the company policy as required to make better and smoothly function in their firm.
Moreover, It should be not a big issue ,once employees they have cleared their No dues /full & final settlement as can be issued Experience cum Relieving Letter.
It is my view and opinion .

Hello Everyone, As per my knowledge there has been a specific format for Service Certificate by labour law. So there is nothing to argue, we may check with the appropriate authorities.
