Sir,can any body help me?
I am a trade apprentice in a PSU. I shall complete the said apprenticeship in June 2012 of duration one & half year. My age will be 28 years on June 2012. Earlier in that PSU upper age limit for recruitment for a post related to my apprenticeship was 32 years for which I could have competted. Suddenly that PSU has lowered the upper age limit to 26 years by an administrative order. Now I am not eligible to compete for the said post even after getting relaxation of age of one & half year as I will be 28 years on June 2012.
My question is if there are any rules guiding the upper age limit in a PSU ? Can a PSU suddenly lower the upper age limit by an administrative order?

Yes. The administrative order has the capacity to change the age limits and you can not challenge its amendments. They have already given the relaxation also, but if your age at present or at the time of application/admission fall under the relaxation period, you still have the chance for apprenticeship....... otherwise you can not claim, but may try talking to the concerned authority....
