Dear Sutanu,
If your establishment is covered under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 & is one year old then ask the employees who have completed one year service to fill & submit nomination form 'F' to the management in duplicate. To know the procedure for calculation of gratuity you may go through section 4 of this Act.

gratuity is for employees in an organisation for 5 years or more. The clause is 4.6 is rounded off to 5 yrs. Check if the organisation is under the gratuity cover scheme or not. If under then follow the below
last draws basic salary *No of years of service*0.5
if the organisation is not under the cover scheme then follow below
last drawn basic salary *No of years of service*(15/26)

Hi,
I have been working in an organisation and have completed 3 years out of which I was on maternity for 3 month(paid) + 2month (LOP). My question is how my gratuity days will be calculated would it be the day I joined organisation till 5 years or do it need to work for 2 month to get 5 years.
Thanks.
