Team,

Electromagnetic radiation consists of waves of electric and magnetic energy moving together (i.e., radiating) through space at the speed of light. Taken together, all forms of electromagnetic energy are referred to as the electromagnetic "spectrum." Radio waves and microwaves emitted by transmitting antennas are one form of electromagnetic energy. They are collectively referred to as "radiofrequency" or "RF" energy or radiation. Note that the term “radiation” does not mean “radioactive.” Often, the terms "electromagnetic field" or "radiofrequency field" may be used to indicate the presence of electromagnetic or RF energy.
The RF waves emanating from an antenna are generated by the movement of electrical charges in the antenna. Electromagnetic waves can be characterized by a wavelength and a frequency. The wavelength is the distance covered by one complete cycle of the electromagnetic wave, while the frequency is the number of electromagnetic waves passing a given point in one second. The frequency of an RF signal is usually expressed in terms of a unit called the "hertz" (abbreviated "Hz"). One Hz equals one cycle per second. One megahertz ("MHz") equals one million cycles per second.
Different forms of electromagnetic energy are categorized by their wavelengths and frequencies.

Dear Raghu sir,
I have read ur thread regarding Radio frequency Hazard on Detonator, as detonater used to intiate Explosive of cap sensitive type.
Regarding ur attachment RF hazard with electronic detonator.PDF as per my knowledge it should be Electical detonater Not Electronic detonater as electronic detonater can be intiated only by Microprocer chip so it not possible to intiate electronic detonater by RF waves, Lighting storms, Static electicity so it is very safe to handle. That why chances of Premature blasting could be avoid by using electronic detonater for intiating explosive in blasting.
Thanks with Regards.

Dear Vallibasha,
Welcome back to our forum after a very long break we seen your updates on our thread.
Really a good catch Mr.Vallibasha i am aware of this & don't have that much knowledge in electronic/electrical just shared what i crossed in web.
Thanks for your input on right time. . .

Dear Raghu
It is more than 15 years old technology. Even terrorist outfits used to explode the bombs and activate the detonator with the remote sensor and with remote about 500 meter distance they can explode the explosives. Even, before 20 years, the Gas Cylinder theft was in increase. This stolen cylinders are used as explosive and in the nozzle, the detonators are fixed with a remote sensor, and with the help of remote, the same will be activated and the explosion takes place.
Thanks for sharing the information with us Raghu.

Dear Raghuvaran Chakravarty sir,
Thanks for your Reply, anyway as per my knowledge no safety personal is perfect in all fields like electrical, electronics, Handling of Explosives, etc.
Thanks for Mr. Bhaskar for valueable inputs & invovation Technology used by antisocial for Trigger Explosives, But what i feel is Blasting technolgy is also vast subject in that being safety person one should learn differnt Hazards associated & their control measures, thats reason our Chakravarthy sir posted thread regarding Radio frequency hazard if involved near by blasting site/vicinity there is chances of intiation of detonater due to this premature Blasting is possible, result of this peoples involving in this activity may lost their lifes. It is not a matter How old technolgy but assess the Hazards & Take precautionery measures from Untowards accidents.
Thanks with Regards.
