Dear all
I frequently use MS word and whenever i have to choose new rs. sybool i have to complete a typical process. like i have to choose rupee foradian font every time when i need rs. symbol .
So after trying a lot i have a new trick to use rs. symbol when we are using Microsoft world

As per your requirement there in no shortcut for Rupee Symbol in MS Excel. T
a. Open the zip file currency symbol in excel attached here with . After extracting this file you will find two files one is symbolize.xla (Macro) and second one is the font file.
b.Copy or cut the font file in fonts folder of control panel.
c. Now click on symbolize.xla it will ask for your permission and click on Yes.
d. Now go to the file where you want to enter rupee symbol or click on cell where the amount is.
e. Now click on currency tab (snap shot attached for currency tab, as it is hard to find
f. click on first line you will see some symbol there (without currency symbol)
g. now to to font and choose rupee foradian as font and you work is done.

We can create shortcut for the same! I have made it thisway! ALT key alongwith ~ key is the combination which works fine. Regards Prem

Yes ALT+~ symbol works for the same but we have to choose the rupee foradian font every time.
