ops! not again, You may find it strange but I was tired with my habit of procrastinating things.

Yes i also, used to procrastinate things.

Procrastinating gave me thrill. I used to have thousands of say for a single situation like

Still lots of time is there

I will do it later

I am not in mood

I do things just like this

After fifteen min

I have lots of work right now

Not in hurry

Will do it on Monday

Why to make haste

First i will plan

Lets wait for some more time. The list was never ending, one after another just to prove my fear right

But i know just as you know, this is not going to help, In such a fast changing time, you don`t have the leverage to miss important things, or stick with such a silly things as procrastinate.

It was a tough one but i decided to beat every dead line which ever was thrown at me.

From the last few months i have found that these few simple tips are helping me in achieving more.

So thought of sharing with you..........

Sky is the limit

Of course, it is but don`t you think, its better to know where you are heading in the sky.

What my one friend recommended me was to fix a dead line for every task in hand.

He advised that we should break our task into small parts,(This one was ultimate) just as a Pizza can be enjoyed in small pieces rather as a whole, in the same manner we can break our task in hand into small part and keep dead lines for every piece.

The lion was always in the cage

I have heard stories about some brave people who faced and fought lion and few even succeed in killing them but for me the lion is always preferred in cage. The biggest thing which help people in procrastinating is the lion in the cage i. e Fear. This feeling is still unexplained but it is there. Fear of unknown......

What holds us back is just a feeling..... Some time in case of task, it is called insecurity.

Thousand sweets makes you confuse

In Delhi, when ever i visit someone`s marriage, one thing which makes me amazed is the number of dishes which are prepared, Most of the times i get confused about eating what and leave what?

Believe it or not but this is one of the reasons of procrastination, having too many task in hand. Simplify your work, organize you start and end.It will help you in getting a bit more organized.

Perfectness is not a state,its a path

As a human being, you can not expect yourself to be in the same state forever, some time even you don`t understand yourself. So talking about starting as perfect is same as saying to clap with one hand( for a good clap you need both hand)

Its amazing to see a kid trying to learn how to walk. See him/her carefully you will understand my point here

Have a barking dog

I have a dog; he( A faithful buddy) barks on everybody who tries to enter in our house. In this manner we have controlled unwanted visitor from visiting us. Oh...don`t get me wrong, I am a good host, Come visit me sometime, will have a blast.

but the point here is to have something which can keep you on the track and give the results you want.

I keep a dead book(No, Horror pls :)) the book in which i mention about my dead lines, when to achieve them. About my day to day approach towards my goals, things i was supposed to do but i didn`t.

Trust me, guys it will work as an eye opener.

I understand some of you will comment right at the moment to appreciate the share and some of you will leave it for the next time.:)

But understand there is no next time

Have a happy procrastination free life

True but philosophical. I go by these steps:
1. Do not focus on the process. But focus on the reward.
2. What is the one thing I don't want to do today, but if I do it, I will move my business / life forward?
3. Successful people protect their time like a hawk. So you must preserve time and prirotize. Be outcome driver.
4. Successful people do things in the order of importance. So plan in accordance.
5. Success 6 program - 10 minutes before you go to bed, list 6 things you need to do the next day on an index card in order of importance. Checked after you complete an item.
6. You don't have to get it perfect but you just have to get it going.
7. Be consistent.
8. Save yourself first so that you can save the world later.
9. Knowing that to do 1% more makes all the difference.
10. Saying yes to opportunities. To be more decisive - start with small decision.
11. Be accountable. Find someone to coach / mentor to hold you accountable.
