Sir/Mam, We are one of the leading IT Staffing co in India having 5-7 overseas offices.one of the employee has been working in our organisation since 5 months as recruiter. While joining in the Company he told he is holding a diploma in ECE and pusuing graduation through corres. he mentioned one consultancy name xxxx as his previous co and he mentioned he worked as a recruiter thr and they wer getting requirements from HCL America/TCS and ol.
But currently we got informations like he is posting his resume with 1 year experience with our current firm ans also he is applying jobs by stating he is "project manager with TCS"/" He is working currently with HCL America"/Currently working with Wipro Infotech and ol. When we cross checked xxxx consultancy is not even regstrd one having office in India.And everywer he is mentioning that he is having MBA from a reputed institution. In this case we have asked our co HR to produce his documents. Unfortunately HR Is saying she didnt collect documents yet. Same time few other colleagus complained that he is having few financial dealings inside office too. Also he not even contributed to the co in 5 months.he was a red zone recruiter here. We have asked recruiter to submit his emplyment and education documents again. Very next day this recruiter absconded from co, after writing a mail to our CEO directly that he s going because co is not having good leaders to train him.:)
We have immediately shared termination letter but currently(very next day) this guy is searching job in market by saying he is working with HCL america since 1 month. Where we can report this or what we can do further? Kindly advice..

This is an excellent case of HR lapse.There is very little that you can do now as the employee has already absconded. What you need to do is (1)Send Regd. Post notices to his resi add for not attending office and he may loose his job (2) He has obtained job by submitting false docs/statements and he need to attend internal inquiry.(3) You need to take statements from the staff who have info on his financial dealings and include the same in the inquiry terms of reference. After giving a reasonable chance to attend the inquiry, conduct an inquiry and declare the indvl absconding and fraud. Subsequently you can intimate all your clients about him.

I think apart from certificates and working experience, the interview session also gives employers the chance to interact with the applicant. Specific questions need to be answered. This would render such applicants helpless in their quest to deceive.

Your HR must have certain predetermined rules to be satisfied before offer or appointment letters are issued. Make at least a call to the school where he claimed to have completed and previous work places. Internet made all work easy, you can check all that on the internet. Do not let him provide numbers please.
For an advice about this very guy, check with your local law bodies but in my country this should be reported to the BNI.

Today we checked his employment information forms and made a call to his previous employer. That person is not even aware of this ES technologies. He shared wrong datas to the HR person and HR not even varified the same. Currently this person is puting fake exp in public portals.. In one resume he put he s working with Wipro.. In antother one he put he is workling with HCL since 1 month.

The basic question arises that at the time of interview before selection the team (interview panel ) has not verified his certificates etc., normally a set of xerox copies along with the company application duly filled need to be submitted, most of the companies are particular about a minimum of 2 references. before recruitment a minimum verification with the references also not being done. This is a system / process failure. You need to work in strengthening the system also need to immediately communicate all your customers about his termination failing which this type of people get advantage of the situation.
Let the employees lodge a complaint regarding the non payment of the loans what he has taken if they have any document. If possible publish his name and phot in the leading news papers also so that he is unable to play with other companies. Upload the details of the guy so that our Cite hr friends also will be careful about the guy.

Thanks for terminating his employment. But i think you have to spread the information about him to protect firms with weak HRs systems. Do that by publishing his details and information at vantage sites. Does your firm deals in Accounting softwares too?

This is what happens when you hire someone and do not complete the process of background and reference check. Your company can post about this employee; his credibility and fake credentials on company BLOGS if they have any. No MNC will hire him without thorough background check process…so be sure that he will not get any job without getting reference from your company.
Send him the termination letter and warning letters through registered post to his residence address.

we are doing BGC check usually.. but in this case,unfortunately HR person is saying she asked admin person to take care and she didnt do the same. Andif i share details in this forum, even he is active in this forum i guess..
