Hi friends,

I know you all are fed up with the story of hair and tortoise and you goona kill me if one more time i just repeat that story but i couldn`t stop my self from telling you the story which i just used in one of my training sessions

please read the 2012 version of the story and your comments will be appreciated

As you are very well aware of the

1st time tortoise win

2nd time hair win

3rd time team win

But you know one last time the hair again decided to race with tortoise. He went up to the house of the tortoise and challenged him to race, As a man of integrity the tortoise obliged the hair , both started the race.................

The hair was running very fast and ahead but when as he was just near the finishing point , a thought crossed his mind and he stopped.

he started thinking"Am i justifying my capabilities or not ....?"

"I am doing so much hard work.....taking so much pain.......... for what?"

was the race worthy of the attention and time i devoted ?

What is the benefits of winning from a competitor who even can`t compete........?

He abandoned the idea of race right there and went in search of doing something meaning full and useful.

Moral of the story:

Stop following useless goals flawlessly

"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all"

Hi, That was a wonderful story thinking in a modern world perspective . Better to challenge ourself and grow rather than just competing with someone else.

Dear Ashu,
Thumbs Up for the post... the best way to excel in any field is to compete with ones own self... Because nobody could match the qualities & capabilities which one have...

Hi Everybody
First of thank you all for all those kind words and support you showered on me....................
I understand your concern about the spelling of hair and hare but as a student of MBA long time ago I heard about a company which Displayed its Add at one of the busiest stations with wrong spellings and it had more impact then the original add placed some where else so i was just checking whether it is true or not, just a new version i tried on Citehr.

Yeah, thats a good one...good sales gimmick sometimes advertising people use this kind of 'errors' to grab attention. And thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day.

Dear All - Good morning
I personally agree with the comments of Mr. Moqeem Akhtar that "Its really another way to think.....it should be the philosophy of life...thanks for sharing it", and also we can get a conclusion (amongst others) that life should be balanced between work and peronsal (social) life.
Please do not comments on the taunting way on "hair" or "hare", it is not a big deal or issue, as we all understand it.
Thanks

Dear Ashu,
With your story you have made a point " When you think you have reached a point , it is always best to stop and re-evaluate where you are headed " .
I am quite amused with the way of your story telling i can say that you have quality of looking at things in the way it should not be looked at and not being a sheep among the flock.
Keep posting and keeping evolving !

You should always compete with equal opponent or competitor and you just be selfish for sometimes or purpose oriented in fulfilling some tasks like what is the end result .. what is the name and fame or benefit i am going to get in-return... Dear ashu you presented this tortoise story in a different prospective .... :-)
