Hai Friends.... I am forwarding a topic that "Who we are?"This is an interesting story...hope u'll like it....
A woman in a coma was dying. She suddenly had a feeling that she was taken up to heaven and stood before the seat of judgement.
"Who are you?"a voice said to her.
I'm the wife of the mayor," she replied.
"I didn't ask you whose wife you are but who you are."
I'm the mother of four children."
"I didn't ask whose mother you are,but who you are."
"I'm a School teacher".
"I didn't ask you what your profession is but who you are."
And so it went.No matter what she replied, she didnt seem to give a satisfactory answer to the question,"Who are you."
"I'm a Christian."
"I didn't ask what your religion is but who you are."
"I'm the one who went to chruch everyday and always helped the poor and needy."
"I did not ask you what you did but who you are."
She evidently failed the examination for she was sent back to earth.
When she recovered from her illness she determined to find out who she was.And that made all difference.
Our duty is to be.Not to be somebody, not to be nobody-for therein lies greed and ambition-not to be this or that-but just to be.

i think we all are only & only consciousness with the bundle of thoughts which creates an apparent image of a person who is actually nothing.we are only an awareness in and by different-2 things appear.

Dont waste your time by thinking who you are ?and where You came from ?and for what are u here?
If you go on thinking like this you will be confused as sikha said(nobody understood anything).
only think YOU ARE HERE....ONE DAY YOU WILL HAVE TO GO FROM HERE.....Where and all is beyond our thinking.....which is controlled by ultimate power.Leave that work to him and enjoy the present what he has given you here.........

hi mini,
OK let me tell you with an example.
As i told earlier that we all are consciousness with the bundle of thoughts, this is because if at a moment something happens good with us, that good creates a positive kind of identity in our mind that if i will do like this result will come like this. but again at the another point of time if due to some reasons something bad happens with us we never repeat do that kind of thing again in the future.
So here only because of these particular kind of situations and experiences we create particular identity in our mind. and with that particular identity we react in front of others.but again the experiences vary from person to person coj happening good with you not sure will be with me also.
Now come to the point if we remove these life situations, experiences from a particular person then what remains ?
1. our mind
2. our body
3. and our consciousness.
Now body will not be remain same at every time at one day this will destroy because of illness or because of some other reasons then what exist at last is only and only our consciousness.
And consciousness is .................................
I hope you understand properly..:)
Take care .

According to Rig Veda: human beings as tri-ani pada i.e. having three bodies in one- divine (causal body where soul resides near the heart), spiritual (subtle body energized by spirit residing in shuniya (cosmic void ) and gross body where senses and sense organs reside). The soul makes a person divine animal, spirit makes a person social animal and senses and sense organs make a person material and economic man.

I think who you are means your inbuilt character and nature. You got to know yourself. That means know your potentials, know your limitations, know your weaknesses, know your strengths etc. etc. After done that now decide what you can do and what you cant.Remember we are all unique. As our physical appearances are different so are our inbuilt qualities and nature. You are what you are.You cant be somebody else.So do not try to be someone else as it will lead to failures. However in this world we dont have choices to perform as per our nature. Neither we are brought up nor educated as per our nature.Thats why our full potential never comes out.A natural doctor becomes an engineer or a natural artist has to do the duty of mechanic and so on.But despite all that it is better to know your self and act where you can excel and avoid situations about what you are not designed

We r pure soul enter into our body which we have selected to get Moksha or Mukti. If we realized this in our current life then we got that knowledge which the Devine want us to learn.
