KRA is a part of position profiling and drafting a JD. For each position you set specified goals to be achieved by a the position holder parallel with his/her routine responsibilities. Now achieving of those goals by the position holder will affect and brings some improvements in some specific areas which are called the Key Result Areas.
This is to my understanding; the seniors may help and explain it further.
