Hi seniors,
I finished my BBA. Now i wanted to do my MBA. My residence is in Chennai, so i would like to do it in Madras University........ But one of my friend is asking me to do it in Symbiosis or in IGNOU. In both the institution they are not offering MBA instant they are offering PGDBA (Diploma in Business Administration).
The doubt here is I don't know which is better degree........ I am quiet confused... I need to select the course ASAP.....
So kindly suggest me....... I am awaiting for your valuable replies.....
Thanks in Advance.........

MBA is better than PGDBA as some universities and institutions are offering PGDBA in 6 months/1 year course and its credibility will not be there. So go for MBA which has some value comparing to PGDBA.

Hello Bharathi,
In addition to what S. Bhaskar mentioned, MBA is better than PGDBA for another reason: MBA is a Master's Degree while PGDBA is a PG Diploma.
Hope you get which is HIGHER & consequently better.

Hi Bharathi,
Well I have a different point of view from my above 2 friends. I believe that there is not much difference between PGDBA and MBA. Both of them have equal value in the market. Also, when there is campus placements, the companies pick up the apsirants in general, not differentiating between PG and MBA students.
Also, PG courses are changed and updated on a very frequent basis. I mean that PG courses have more updated matter than MBA, where the updation happens merely in a decade. I have done my PGDBM and I have seen no difference in both of the courses.
However, it is very very important that the value of MBA or PG depends strictly on which institute you do your course from. The best B-schools only have value in the market, mind you!
