Dear All,

Greetings to all.

I am a silent reader of this professional human resource site, since a long time and found this intellectual forum quite useful for many of the unknown employees and practitioners. Congratulation to the founder of this concept.

Currently,i am thinking to make my self relocate in the same company but in different place (at Raipur, Chattisgarh) on project basis for two years. I have been selected for the same and would like to know about the difference between Deputation, transfer, project transfer and lean. Can any one suggest, what are the basic difference in between all these terminologies.

Secondly, which will be more beneficial to me in terms of Cost To Company. I am a permanent of employee of this organization with a CTC of 3.6 lacs currently. As an outsider they have budgeted 45000 per month in gross.I am going to complete 5 yrs in the permanent position in August 28th and eligible to avail all service benefits including gratuity.

I do not want to leave this job currently. Can anyone guide me properly what to do, what to not do? I would appreciate the correct guidance.

Dear sir
first of all
1. you need to check whether this is only a deputation and can return to the same location and position
2. While going r u to resign and get FF settlement
3. if it is so, you might not be in service continuity further and u may lose gratuity
4. you might also have to look for a different job when you complete project
you have to be clear and get clarified with management in written
1. you service continuity should not get cut
2. you would not resign present position
3. you might be only on deputation whcih the organisation given to you
4. at anycost your service should continue when you return back

Dear Sir,
Thanks a lot for mentoring me on this unknown issue. The management is interested to send me on deputation basis i.e transfer to a location for more than three months and may be given a deputation cost, and as happened ealier they are just giving a letter for deputation with all other terms and conditions remain same. No need to resign at all. Kindly suggest the risk factors in this case. and till now i will defintely clear all the issue you wrote. Thanks once again.

Dear
if the letter state clearly about 3 months deputation, you donot have to really worry.
their is no risk factor if your organisation is giving wevery thing in written
but anonymously things could happen
1. you might be extended to stay for further a month or two
2. you may be requested to post permanently if you are found to be suitable to that position (organisation might be forcing to take)
3. You might also get affectionate and accustomned to the condition and willing to take permenant position their

Many companies send their employees on deputation on short term. If their services are required further, they will transfer them to sites till the period site require them. On both the cases, the employee will be paid either deputation allowance or site allowance. Nothing to worry as long as you are in their permanent roll.

Dear Hemanth,
Our friends has clarified everything that you need but there is one thing that we need clarification from your end i.e, you started off stating that they are going to depute you for 2years and now you have ended up stating more than 3months - which one is correct and what do you mean by 2 years bond?(The subject states the same)

Dear All,

Greetings!

Thanks a lot to enrich me with lots of rules and regulation pertaining to administration and personnel. Yesterday, i had receive the posting letter for Raipur with some project allowance while the rest of the conditions will remain same. They are not sending me on Deputation but mentioned POSTING at RAIPUR project office for a period of two years. My question is currently i am working at Jaipur and has got posting at Raipur currently. Shall i get the reimbursement for transport. Manager is saying that i will not get the same as i got a posting there. What is the difference between transfer, deputation and posting, for an employee pertaining to financial gain or loss?

Secondly, the manager has told me that deputation is for more than three months, so doing posting. I am really confused. I would also appreciate if you experts could put a ray of light about transportation issues related to these three above mentioned conditions.

Once again thanks a lot for mentoring properly.

Best:
