Thanks for the post. When it comes to appraisals, i think the most important factor determining your performance, is your equation with the seniors. It is seldom that one gets a senior who is beyond biases.

Yes, biases are supposed to be sidelined with brilliant performance. But then, as I said 'supposed' to. I have seen quite a few examples which have forced me to believe in 'supposed' to. You must be lucky not to have had this glimpse.
