To really be successful, your initiative needs to be communicated in a way that triggers an employee reaction, preferably one that says, "I want to do something different to support this." There are several key questions you should ask yourself before deciding how best to achieve this:
* What do you want employees to do?
* What should happen differently compared to what happens now?
* What do we need employees to stop or start doing in order to achieve this outcome?
* How would employees demonstrate or show you that?
* What would it look like?
* What would you see that you don't see today?
* How do you know that employees aren't doing this now?
* Have I addressed the, "What's in it for me?" factor?
