May I know what level you are at and if you are unaware how come u r recruiting a AM HR....Do you own a company if yes then it could be a grey area but if u r working for a company then my dear your juniors wont like you..........u need to ask him about his success failures, achievements compensation, his HR knowledge etc etc.. got it....i can write more but it wont help...

IR in terms of hr is ' industrial relation ' which includes mainly the laws complied by the government for any establishment or factory or organization which an org must follow. moreover it includes trade unions( their welfare scheme, greviences, rights etc).

The interview questions you ask the prospective candidates will be based on the Position Description and Person Specification you have written for the Assistant Manager HR Position.
You need to ensure that the successful candidate can perform the duties you have specified so I am not sure why you are asking this question.
Could it be that you do not have a proper PD and PS?? If your recruitment processes are not up to scratch then you will not get the best staff and the people you need to drive you business forward.

if they are focusing of Legal adviser HR assistant, the questions will be according to law and industrial relation (IR) i
If training and placement assistant manager is there , the que will be from general training related.
with dis sending u some general questions and basic role of HR manger, officer and executive.
