Hi,
Would like to know what should be the minimum salary for employees in an IT company which has been registered as a partnership firm.
Also, heard that we have to notify <some govt body> about the number of employees we have and we have to pay some fees if the number of emps are less than 100 and some fees if it exceeds 100.
A proper guidance would be appreciated.

Dear Member,
If your establishment is covered under the list of schedule employments under the Minimum wages Act, 1948 in any of the states where your establishment is functioning then you are to pay minimum wages as fixed/ revised by that Govt.You can approach your area labour office for this purpose. In general IT companies are covered under Shops & Establishment Act & therefore in this case you are to intimate the list of employees as employed by you to the Shops Inspector of the area. In Haryana we are required to deposit fees under Shops Act for getting R C under this Act. It might be possible that this fee structure may be there in other states.
