Whats the toughest interview question you have ever faced??
You can provide the response to that question so that others might learn from it.....
You can ask for a response from others in case you still have not been able to get a satisfying response....
Would like to make it very clear that there is no right or wrong....what may be the toughest question for one could be the easiest for another and thats where the help is needed. Kindly do not mock at somebody...

1. Why should we hire you?
2. What made you feel that our company is the best for your employment while there are so many MNC's that pays huge salaries???
3. If you want to quit your current company just for the sake of better oppurtunities then what is the guarentee that we will provide you such oppurtunities?
4. What difference will you show apart from the routine job that everyone does if we hire you?
5. I like people who are very frank. Ok now tell me what do you feel about me after leaving our office premises.

1. Sure.....but its applicable only when i dont have job satisfaction here because am not the one who run behind money. I am person who strongly believe in Hard work and Knowledge and money will automatically follow me if am succesful in aquiring both of them.
2. If will immediately thank my boss in everyones presence because all these positive synergies would not have been possible without his support.
3. Unfair practices - No room for such happenings in my professional life and if am in your position i will terminate such employee rather than de-promoting him/her as we never knew the side effects of such person to an healthy organisation.
4. Resignation and termination differ from each other. Employees with bad conduct will be terminated where as good employees doesnt fall under that category at all. So it may be due to current market situations(Recession - company cannot pay anymore to its employees), or company doesnt have enough funds to run their business, or am on bench. If am asked to resign with any of these reasons then i will request them to provide me 2more months of employment as i need to search for a new job and didnt want to have a gap as it will impact my professional career.

Great...surely one of those good reverts that might just click in the interviews......
The last two replies could make one being perceived as a aggresive...so one can tweak a bit...lets say -
3. I dont think I would ever be demoted for my unfair pratices as I am quite strong with my ethical standards and being a professional its my responsibility to ensure that all the professional worklplace conducts are adhered to...
4. Speaking frankly, this is not the scenario one would expect himself into and I must confess if that happens I would definitly be shocked and surprised.... < and then one can continue.>

Good thread.
I was once asked in a particularly difficult interview "If you had free time in office, how would you spend it?"
I answered; by taking time to learn, research on my subject area etc, work on my skills etc but the interviewer told me upfront that he is not satisfied with the answer.
Have been wondering what he was expecting, can someone help??

I will try not to react immediately and lose sight of the actual problem. I would be more intersted in knowing the reason, and see if it can be avoided at the max

One thing - I would definitely try to think If I goofed anywhere and sit and think If I made it up or not. Propbably even replay the whole interview session with my dear & near and seek their opinion if I will pass this interview.
Another - I would surely try to find more information about the Hiring Manager in this case you). I am sorry if this sounds wierd but thats what I will do.
