Hi, i am leaving office today and the HR department is refusing to give me the Full and Final settlement document. the company owe me more than a lakh. they are telling that they will show me the figure but will not give either hardcopy or softcopy of that. What to do? Can an organization refuse to give such document.? Please Advise. -Regards Raj

Dear Smith, F& F will be prepared after your last working day. Because they have to calculate your attendance, bonus, any due to company. It may take a week. Suresh kumar.k

i think you wait for some time. HR processes take some time so that all dues are calculated and accounted for. Normally organisation take a 4 to 8 weeks to prepare the final settlement, and the detail is provided along with the relieving. Best to have some patience. try putting yourself in their shoes,,and understand their limitations.

Has any thing mentioned in your appointment letter regarding notice period. If so then have u fulfilled that? If fulfilled then you ask them a full and final settlement form. Normally it has to be submit after last working day.

dear, Normally HR dept takes some time to arrive at this figure. If they have already prepared, probably they might be waiting for this to be approved by someone. Secondly, as long as you are able to understand and satisfied with the way it is done (by seeing the copy), having a hard copy is not going to serve you anything great. You can ensure all dues payable to you have been computed and paid to you correctly. Whether they give you a copy or no, is immaterial. V. Balaji

Perfectly said by Mr. Balaji. F&F figures are correctly arrived on close of the LWD. There is always some variation in the final figure if you compare it with the calculated one beforehand. Anything given in black n white seeks responsibility hence they ll probably give you the final figure after approval of the payroll. So better u wait for the final figure. Arun Phulera

Dear Smith, It is unfortunate but true. Some organizations do not give such details. It is most unethical of any organization to give deatisl of F & F calculations to en employee who is leaving the organization. It only goes to prove that, perhaps they have something to hide.
