Dear Arup Roy,
In my opinion this type of wage period can not be stated to be correct in the eyes of labour laws. Wage period is to be considered as calendar month & accordingly payment is to be made up to 7th or 10th of the coming month as the case may be. I do not think this type of accounting month is there in any law.

Dear Arup,
It is a fairly common practice to treat attendance period from 26th of the previous month to 25th of the current month to facilitate timely preparation and disbursement of salaries.
If the days are calculated from 26h June to 25th July, the payroll that would be processed will be for the month of July.
Best Wishes,
