dear skanth
provident fund is deducted 12% from employee which goes to PF account and 12% share of employer out of which 8.33% goes to PF account and rest 3.67% goes to pension.
you can withdraw PF share irrespective your length of service but for drawing pension share minimum 6 month contribution is required.

2. The contributions made by employer to EDLI scheme available for withdrawal on surviving the member or this is available to the nominee of the member after his death?

Hi,
As per pf act
Employee contribution of 12% fully credited in to Pf account i.e act no 1
Employer contribution 12% will be devided in to 2 parts
1. 8.33 % will be deposited in to pension account ie. act no 10. up to maximum of 541. The balance if any will be deposited in to pf account only
2. 3.67 % will be deposited in to pf account ie. account no 1.
Hope it is clear to you
Thanks
