Hi All
Its Surprising to see the state of shock the HR fraternity is in. Its been months since we got the blow of recession giving a major setback to the Manpower and Human Resources. Leaving ONE thread posted by Jatin I guess there haven’t been any threads on this topic. How about sharing your experiences on LAYOFF’s?

Hi sajid,
Its weird that the H.R professionals here in U.A.E least bothered about employee welfare in their organizations.
Well now the situation in companies is not in the control of H.R. The instructions from Directors & General Managers are over ruling the whole established system of H.R & employees are being terminated. Though NOC's are being provided to these victims, but who's gonna hire them ?

Dear Jatin, Sajid, the situation as explained has gone out of control from the already helpless hands of HR. What can one do, if the volume is in hundreds and thousands.. the rate and stories are mounting as each day passes. Hope for the best. May be our new friend Obama has some magic in store for the whole world and wish for it.

Hi Friends,
Decisiosn are no longer in the hands of HR. In fact many companeis are downsizing their own HR department. Its been a bad year but I hope by the end of 09 things will start shaping up. As economists and analysts said "it was just a bubble that was waiting to burst" and its happened.
I'm sure that from now on that precautions will be taken.
Now coming to the peopel who have lost tehir jobs it is really terrible as they all seem to be in some sort of debt that is much greater for them to handle if there is no job.
There are no precautionary measures taken by people today to ensure safety or resources in th event of any failure or set back.
There was a survey done and it saud that 78% people dont save becasue of various forms of obligations and debts...
Nevertheless I pray that things improve and people are back on track.
Regards,
Sandeep
