From employer PF contribution, 8.3% of your basic salary + DA if any or Rs.541.00 p.m. whichever is lower, will be allocated to EPS 1965. Central Govt. will further contribute 1.16% towards this scheme. This is automatic and no need to check.

Contribution to EPS is @ 8.33% on salary.
For pension
1. He has to contribute minimum 10yrs.
2. Either to complete 58 yrs age or releive service. However before 50 yrs there is no pension.
3.Pension before 58 yrs' age will attract 4% reduction in pension for each year.

Dear Amirana,
If you have joined in EPF before 16.11.95 and was not a member of the then prevailed Familly Pension Scheme and also still continuing in the same job; then you will not be a member of EPS-95 automatically. But there is provision to opt EPS-95.

Dear Ironbalu,
To get pension, there should be a minimum service of 10 years in EPF, i.e both Family Pension and Employees Pension Scheme. Kindly confirm. If there is no eligible service for pension, one time withdrawal benefit is applicable.
