A lot of our frustrations emerge from the expectations that we have from others. We are always measuring and evaluating subconsciously what the world is giving back to us in return for all that we have done for the world.
And when there is a mismatch between our expectations and between reality, that's when a lot of negative emotions take birth inside us. Anger, frustration, guilt, depression and repentance and many other fires of negative emotions rage inside us when we feel let down by those around us.
We fail to see that giving with an expectation to get something back in return is not true giving; it’s a transaction.
I wanted to share with you a quote from Mother Teresa which had a profound impact on my life.
It might be very challenging to put this into practice but it will open you up to whole new world of inner peace and will allow you to drop any unwanted emotional baggage that you might be carrying.
Have a great Sunday!
