Hi
I have a thought-provoking question for you. As a leader/manager, how far are you willing to go to facilitate change in your organization? Respected management expert David Maister says you've got to be willing to go first. And he means all the way, even to the point of resigning if your change efforts fail. Instead of saying "Charge!" to the troops, say "Follow Me!"
This challenge is proposed in his great new e-book entitled "Accountability: Effective Managers Go First." It's a good read and suggests a pragmatic four-step approach. Maister provides a good set of questions to begin with to improve effectivity as a leader.
Please read this E-Book... Hope you enjoy..

Hello Sowmini:
"Change Agent" is a function/title that the CEO bestows on an employee. When we take it apon ourselves to act as change agents we put at risk our jobs and our future employment.
If the CEO does not ask us be change agents, then the CEO and his/her direct reports may well see us as trouble makers and/or unhappy employees.
I suggest we be very careful when trying to change an oraganization.
