hi,
Thanks a lot shewta to share this with us.Your friend is really lucky that she is safe.
Some tips from my side:-
First of all don't travel late
If you have to then immidiately get down on the route which does not have rush or is unknown to u.
One thing which I do generaly when am at unknown route is"make a fake call or may be real to friend/husband and show that u are talking to some POLICE OFFICER or Commisioner and explain him the route(anylandmarks or may be mintutes away from your known place). May be u can add that "Oh are u standing here only then i will get down".This is just to show the people around you. It worked for me.
Surely girls are less storng than men but by brians can overcome some situations.
Please share your suggetions too.

thanks for sharing this incident with us..& some gud tips for girls especially "Mirchi Tip" is very gud idea for avoiding these kind of incidents. We should aware about some "Safe methods" like judo, karate, taekwondo etc for our safety becoz if girls are strong then they can handle these kind of situations easily. But this is very embarasing thing that after somany years of independence we are facing these problems especially with girls.
