Ashley,
This is true world were you will find a lot of colors in different kind of personalities like this Female (Project Coordinator). Possibly your CEO might be aware of these facts, but this lady is the centre of attraction for the boss. Which consequently resulting to think her that she is the most sort after pearl in the company.
And she is doing what she wants to do with you all? But never let your self be down, use your potential, work in coherent manner and even if she behaves like a hunter, then show your darings also.
Behave the same way she does to you and then see the results, either she will never try to cross her limits or she will changer herself.
All the Best

Dear all,
Thank you very much for your support! I really appreciate it. I did not expect to receive so many support from you all. This really makes me feel good. Thank you.
And I will take your advice, be strong, doing good work and lay low. Actually that's what I have been doing, it's just that I got frustrated with her behavior recently. Because I always believe in harmony, and I have tried my best to maintain that.
Now I know that I'm not going through this alone, I always have you guys here to give me support and positive feedback. Thank you.
Oh by the way, sorry that I couldn't understand your language. I am actually Malaysian, working in Malaysia too. :)
Mind to tell me what it means actually?
Khader, the above is nice! Thanks!
I'll remember that all the time.
Cheers,
Ashley

Dear Ashley...
As i read most are very well written.. to add to that.. "YOU KNOW YOURSELF BETTER, THAN ANYBODY ELSE".. so be positive in your way..try to find out the positiveness of her.. and tell her that you liked the way she is.. sometimes people prefer them to be appreciated.. so just keep appreciating.. just give a smile.. take the example of Lage raho munna bhai, where a person splits at other persons door, and so on.. just be urself.. b happy.. think positive..and see positive in other, and appreciate every moment..may be she is a person who is seeking for attention..just appreciate...
All d best

Dear Ashley,
These are some of the common problems HRs generally face from the employes.
The activities of HR are not as Transparent as other departments activities like a developer, TL, PL etc. It is not that every employee has to obey or listen to you. Collect the feedback from colleagues about her behaviour with them and analyse why she is very arrogant with you. HR has complete responsibility to maintain good rapport with all the employees. When any employee is behaving arrogantly, as a responsiblity HR has the right to penalise them.
Make her complete accountable for the things not happening because of her. Never bother about the employees of this type.

The following expression of yours does give a solutions,

1. I have experience.

2. She is of my age.

3. She feels the world is on her back.

4. She says its not her responsibility to help others.

My friend, in a corporate world you should not be expecting more from others to give, what they think, what they do, how do they behave everthing is okay unless otherwise if its not affecting others.

There is not compulsion for anyone to help others, but people who helps others will certainly be benefitted the most.

I feel you can move professional in this scenario, rather than verbal communication, you can move with written communication with mailers, if at all it is needed and concentrate on other things to be done. Do not give a pinch or advice to this employee.

Clouds cannot hold back the sunshine for a longtime, viz-a-viz your talents to others.

Do not waste your time in thinking about whether somebody is liking or disliking you, just do your actions, results will come a plenty.

All the best, and hats off to your dedication.

Hi,
I have read all mails. A lot of solutions, motivation, empathy provided/shown by various members.
I can only add now, "Don't worry, be happy".
All the best, do take care of your self.

Hi,
This isn't new situation at all..those people who have some power or powerful people's favours/ backing act the same way your lady colleage acts!!!
The best way to deal with her is to avoid confrontations! 'avoiding' is also a way to deal with conflicts when no other means may be useful. As far as your apporach, HR people are there to support and make work environment better. You pl don't say that you always help people, etc. but continue your good habits like that.
One fact of life is we cannot change people, but have to change our apporach to them. May be a change in your approach towards your colleague will change her behaviour towards you.
Don't take it to heart. Life goes on still....
Best wishes,
Mrinal

Hey this is not an issue at all. Do not push this individual too much, just tell her that you are there just in case she needs any help and leave it at that. My experience says that such people do come back to you asking help. SO chill out.
HR today is a very inportant function and a lot of organizations have realised this and do consult the HR before taking key decisions.
