What if i am eligible for ESI before (salary: 15000) and i got out due to salary hike (salary:23000), Now my salary becomes 20000 and will the ESI coverage start again for me?

Dear, Please clarify what is your Present Gross Salary Per Month? if it is less than Rs21,000/- & below Per Month you will be covered under ESI.You can submit your previous ESI Insurance Number to your Employer

i have the same question as earlier as many of my employees were given increment in July & Dec month & their wages was above the ESIC limit but as per my consultant it is mandatory to contribute for the duration of April-Sep & Oct-March. so it is mandatory or i can stop the contribution of employees whose salary are above 21000 ?

April to Sep/Oct to March
will continue to be ESI Member till completion of respective Contribution period,Inspite of crossing ESI Wage Ceiling during Contribution Period
Henceforth, Please follow the practice of giving increment for ESI Covered Employees either from 1st April/1st October

Dear member, such employee will continue to be covered and contribution will be payable under ESI Act, 1948 till close of contribution period. Please see proviso to section 2(9) of said Act.

If a woman receiving salary of Rs. 20000 till Dec 2016, she is not covered under ESI. Since we have to cover her under ESI after Jan 2017 as the ceiling has increased to 21000. In that case, is she avail the maternity benefit under ESIC act.
