Dear Sonu,
Since your factory is having a Main Code , then it is sufficient that you take a sub code even if your factory is in another state. For taking a sub code there is no of more than 20 employee. That is what we are doing and are successful in south India.

Hi All,
Had a doubt about My pf balance. After I tried to check my balance online, I received an SMS that says; EPF Balance in A/C No. xx/xxx/xxxxxxx/xxx/xxxxxxx is EE Amt: Rs xxxxx, ER Amt: Rs xxxx as on 13-08-12(Accounts updated upto 31-03-2011)-EPFO
My only question about this message is why is the account updated only till 31-03-2011? What happens to the amount that was deducted from my salary towards PF untill February 2012?

Dear sneaky,
FYI, ur employer might not submitted the form 3a & 6 for the year 2011-12 to the PF office. So ur PF account is updated till 31.3.2011. Please check with ur organization.

In terms of finance voluntary coverage of exempted employees is not directly beneficial to the employers. But from HR point of view it is beneficial in long run.
For example it is known that when Jamshedji Tata decided to set up steel plant, the englishmen claimed that they will eat those steel implying that Tata can\'t make steel. But the company had a people oriented policy ,unmindful of the direct benefit, and made so many HR measures wich govt thought of only decades later. The benefit to the company was ,they grew to takeover British steel plants. Now many companys are offering PF to higher salary staff to attract talents and retain them.
