Dear Sandeep,
Your company really has a very good policy...
Well our is a Panel Manufacturing and Automation based company -@ Gujarat (Surat) - Cotmac electronics..
Regarding leave - we do not have any bifercation.. we have flat 30 days (2.5 accured) every month.. At the end of the year, all balance are lapsed.. Nor carry forward and nor encashment...
So employees are demotivated.. Further Mgt handles in diplomatically by saying we want our employees to avail leave and relax.. but problems prevails when through out you have projects and short fall in man power, holidays are not provided... So people think, company wants to lapse the leave so they dont have to pay to employees..
Well tats the scenario!!

As I seen on internet , Cotmac is a good organisation, so it must have some employee friendly environment.
Also , Leave encashment is not manadatory but employee can avail all leaves.
Management must think about that dear..because de-motivated employees will not focus on work properly and ultimately organisation will be in deep trouble after some time..

Dear Madam,
Many organization smartly avoid payment of leave encashment. In order to please both management & Employees it is suggested leave encashment can be made on the basis of salary on which PF is worked out. Normal practice is on either on Basic or Basic+DA.
I have suggested a via media.
Regards,
R.Sitaram
