The contractor should maintain the strength of worker upto 100 maximum, under current licence, in his/her muster roll. He can rotate individual workers during the working period. If he needs more number of workers for the contract, he must take the enhancement under the current licence. He has to pay additional fee of Rs.600 to Dy.Chief Inspector of factories and submit Form I along with original Form II given to them for carrrying out the amendments.

Regarding labour lisence there may be 1000 names in the muster roll but the status of present in a single day should not crose 100 i.e the l the highiest capacity of the lisence. So if the no. is not exit 100 then amemend is not necessary.

I endorse Akpk34 If the contractor deploy more than 100 workers any day in a year, he has to amend his license. There is no doubt about it. Naveen

Dear Jey, If contractor is deploying only 100 or less than 100 workers in any day, then there is no need for doing amendment in form VI. Regards, Sanjay

Dear shri jerald,
Contract labour Act is applicable to those establishments which
employs more than twenty persons as contract labour. For this
purpose the establishment is required to ger registered. It is also applicable to contractors who supply twenty or more contract labour to any establishment.Such contractor is required to have licence. Thus the licence is for particular establishment, where more than twenty labour is supplied.
Thus irrespective of the number of persons in contractor's employment
he may inter in to contract with any establishment to supply any number of persons which may be less than tptal persons in his employment.
Regards.

First of all contractor labour licence would be issued by Dy.Commissioner of Labour but not Dy.Chief Inspector of Factories. Any enhancement in the number of contract labour than the permitted figure, shall be ratified by the Labour department only but not factories dept., Hope this is correct
