Without prior communication, you can pick up a few students who appear perfectly groomed. Make a team and ask them to make a parade of students...like a fashion parade and give a rating for each one based on their grooming levels. You can randomly check their backpack or school bag, and how organised or disorganized in keeping or maintaining their books, notebooks, stationary kits, etc. How they are present will certainly be their habit in the future as well. Even their mannerisms, way of talking courteously, and the way they walk, talk, interact, and behave will reflect their future styles. These are a few ideas and you can work on the same further.
