I put down my papers before I got promotion letter. But HR is telling we have promoted you as Team Leader and need to serve 60 days. Initially it was 30 days.

And they have given performance bonus which they are asking it back.

What should I do now? I feel its unethical.

Since I don't receive the promotion letter yet, am I really liable to serve 60 days notice period?

Hi,

Please follow the separation clause as per your appointment letter or any other subsequent revised letter issued to you in writing. As they have not issued any promotion letter 60 days notice period will not be applicable to you. Asking back performance bonus is also not ethical as it was a payment released to you for the past performance. You can explain HR about this and get it resolved amicably.
