Reimbursement for tax saving or other options for salaried employee to save tax.

For a private sector employee please suggest the possible reimbursement options or other options beyond 80c to save tax.
Please be note that these options exclude section 80c, medical, NPS related matters.
For example like some companies provide fixed telephone or broadband bill amount per month for employees.

Thanks

Any reimbursement, let it be medical, conveyance or telephone, supported by bills or declaration by the employee will be exempted from taxable income. On the other hand, if the same are given as 'allowances' then it will become part of salary and the same will become taxable. The amount of the former is presumed to be actual but variable but the latter is fixed.
