Hi I have one query. Can weekly off be suffixed to Sick Leave or it will be counted as part of sick leave.
Example staff takes sick leave Thursday to Saturday and Sunday is his day off. Will Sunday be counted as sick leave? Any reference to it will be much appreciated

When there is sick leave, an employee can resume duty only with fitness certificate. If the fitness is effective from Saturday evening, then the weekly off is allowed or else if the fitness is w.e.f. Sunday evening or Monday morning, the Sunday will be included in the Sick Leave.

In your specific query - 'Example staff takes sick leave Thursday to Saturday and Sunday is his day off. Will Sunday be counted as sick leave.'

The answer is NO. Sunday shall be considered as only weekly-off.

In normal case, and as a general practice seen in many companies, sick leave for more than 2 days, need to be substantiated with a medical fitness by a recognised medical practioner and at the time of joining, he/she need to submit a fitness certificate
