A person is completing 58 years as of today. Please clarify whether salary to be processed till today or for the full month? Any other factor to be considered for salary for the month of retirement?

Dear Colleague,
As far as Salary is concerned you can work out only upto the date of retirement. If you have any internally policy to pay full month salary ( some companies have this policy as a good will).

In Legal point of view it suffice if you pay upto date of retirement.

Dear Member,
It is a practice in Government & in corporates also to retire any employee on the last day of the month in which he/she completes the age of superannuation. But it may vary from company to company as per their policies. You may act accordingly.
