In January 2021 my Boss/MD told me to look for another job and he told me that as per the company's policy (mentioned same in my offer letter) we will give you a 1-month salary but after a few days without any mistake from the side, he clearly told that we will not give anything neither 1-month salary, working days salary and relieving letter. His intentions are clearly wrong against me, after a few months now I have started looking for jobs and I have some openings in my hand. Please suggest to me what should I do and how can I join any organization when I don't have a relieving letter from the last organization?

Dear Colleague,

The Relieving order is an authentic document that you handed over all documents / properties to the company you worked and you are relived officially. The date of such reliving will impact as Exit date in your PF Records also.

Hence my suggestion is to again request your employer to issue you a relieving letter and approach him with all positivity. Job changes are quite common and such non-issuance of relieving order is also common in the Industry for various reasons.

Despite your request, still if you are not getting proper official reliving letter, my suggestion is that you write a letter officially stating that you worked from .................to.................and last working day being............As per instructions of the Organization, you had left the services and awaiting for official relieving letter. Mention that you had handed over all files or other assets of the company and if not done please do so and get it recorded in a Registered Post and keep a copy for your reference .

The other part is please openly inform officially to the next employer that your relieving order is pending / not issued by the previous employer in the very beginning and officially declare it to the HR of the company and give an undertaking that you will manage any challenges if at all arise on your own. Generally the HR understands (Unless any other major deviations are there in the past company)
