Hi Members... I am working in the garment industry and we work for different brands of UK and US clients.
Question: Training tailors is considered in the semi-killed category or the Unskilled category? Kindly suggest.

A person who can do a certain work requiring a skill (meaning not just anyone without experience or expertise can do that task), then if the person can work independently without supervision and constant review, he is considered skilled. A person who needs to be suprevised and needs guidance and review is semi-skilled.
If the trainees are completely raw and are being taught to stitch, then they would be unskilled. Otherwise, mostly they are semi-skilled

Word TAILOR itself specify the skill of an employee Training for Tailor should be done to those who is either helper or beginner so better to put them under Unskilled category till completion of the course and after completion put them under Semi skilled category till they were in either probation or trainee.

Dear colleague,
Please clarify whether you are referring to the person who is going to train the tailors or the the tailors being trained by him.
Obviously, any trainer, is a professional person and does not fall in the any skill category of workers.
