Can Employer file ESI Monthly return for the month of February 2020 and March 2020 at present

Dear Sir/Madam,

We need to file ESI Monthly return for the month of February 2020 and March 2020.

ESI Officials has asked us to file ESI Monthly return for February 2020 and March 2020 through Miscellaneous Challan option.

Please clarify

1.Does Miscellaneous Challan mean Omitted Wages Challan.

2.Will February 2020 and March 2020 wages be called as Omitted Wages.

3.Do we need to click following option to file ESI Monthly return for the month of February 2020 and March 2020.

“Omitted Wages Challan>Challan Form”

In above said option, we can enter following details only

1.Amount to be Paid (In Rupees):*

2.Details:

But we can not able to upload Excel sheet as prescribed format for these February 2020 and March 2020 months.

Please find the attached screenshot and please guide us whether these attached option is correct to file ESI Monthly return for the month of February 2020 and March 2020.

We are aware that as follows

(i) Employer can file/revise monthly contribution details up to 11th November for contribution period April to September and up to 12th May for contribution period

October to March.

(ii) ESIC has relaxed the time limit for filing and depositing ESI Contribution up to 11.06.2020 for the contribution period from October 2019 to March 2020.

Accordingly, the employers are allowed to file the return of contribution up to 11.06.2020 for the contribution period from October 2019 to March 2020.
