I have been working in an mnc. I had typhoid twice last year and jaundice in the beginning of the year. I have given supporting medical documents. I just want to check if employer has a right to stop my bonus and not to give appraisal just because I was on sick leave.

Hi,
Normally appraisal depend on your overall performance and sick leaves has nothing to do with it.
However It also depend for how many days / months in overall you have taken leaves and what is your company policy say about it.

Hi,
It depends on the total period of absence for the period under review. In case of period of absence ( even though it is due to sickness) is for considerable months then it may be likely to have impact on your total increment (i.e) increment may be based on performance during actual period of presence for the period under review.

Also under labour law, can an employer ask an employee to leave if they are sick and given proper documents?
