I am working in a Small Scale Industry as an HR manager, I am in a dilemma that in my organization. I have recruited an employee last month he is on probation period and now he has to resign for the sake of his mother's illness. And now he is requesting for relieving letter for searching a new job - he belongs from another city. And my employer has not agreed to give him a relieving letter. Suggest me please as a Human Resource What should I Do?

Hi Jyotideshwal,
If the resignation is accepted, say so. A relieving letter is ethically to be issued after the notice period & as and when he is relieved. If you have any difficulties as explained, simply issue a letter stating that 'his resignation has been accepted as on ........date.' Or endorse the same on his copy of the resignation letter and close the matter.
