2 Org 2 2/5/1995 to 1/12/1998

There was no PF after March 2003. My date of birth is 14 Nov 2014. My total service is from 1 Jan 1981 to 10 Mar 2003 in 3 different organizations.
In Nov 2004 I had withdrawn my PF and FPS contribution both. I received 2 cheques.
When I approached EPFO for claiming pension, (since my total service is @ 22years), I was told that returning EPS contribution Rs. 49010.0 with interest from Nov 2004, I will be eligible for pension for my entire service from Jan 1981 to Mar 2003 will be considered for pension.
My qery is follows:-
1. Can it be done?
2. If yes, is it worth taking this route or shall I forget pension.
3. In that case, please let me know the process and amount to be returned. with interest.
