Sir/madam, I have 15+ years experience as a Personal Secretary. Some of my well wishers advised me to do MBA. Now I am pursuing MBA and appeared for IV Semester exams. My idea was that if I complete MBA with HR Stream, I can easily get in in the industry and there will be more scope to HR than the secretarial assistance. Recently i.e., 3 months back, I was joined in a firm as an Assistant Manager-HR.
But the duties, which I have been attending are related completely to Secretarial work only. For the last few days I have been receiving calls from reputed companies for the post of Personal Assistant. Now I am in dilemma that continue with the Personal Assistant work or stick to future plan i.e., step into HR Wing. Please provide your valuable suggestions. Regards, Prasad.

Dear Prasad,
Why do you want to change your idea. You have stated that your intention is to get into HR after completing MBA.
Here you are getting calls into Secretarial line of jobs only as your experience is into that only. No doubt this is a difficult phase to change the job within a this period as you don't have real time exposure into HR function. But you can project your exposure into HR related activities and face interviews to build up your confidence till you succeed.
All the best.
