Dear Seniors,
I am working in the wooden furniture manufacturing industry. We have a Carpentry, Painting & Polishing, Finishing, Dispatch section. We had set up salaries and designation as per company policy and Minimum wages, but I am thinking to setup the growth for each employee for each position. Kindly suggest on what basis and how should I prepare growth structure for our employees.

Dear Nagaraja,
I could understand that you want to make employee performance matrix.
Firstly you prepare an hierarchy chart with all personnel available, also taking into consideration the skill/qualification required for each position. Later develop the skill gap analysis, make a plan for the reduction of gaps which in turn will bring the growth plan of the individual employee.
In other words if that particular employee fits in to the skill, has the requisite qualification and dedicated to his work, he can be tipped off into the next level, internally by taking approval of concerned Heads.
