Dear all, Want to know if a person has worked for 5 months in a firm and suddenly the firm starts lay-off and ask then employee to quit the job.
so is there any procedure for withdrawal of professional tax. and will he be eligible for it. many guys have asked me about it

No, profession tax is not refundable

The person has worked for 5 months
Profession tax needs to be paid for that period.
No one pays profession tax in advance. And there is no minimum requirement for profession tax. Even if the person has work has to pay profession tax.
So, where is the question of withdrawal or refund?
