I had joined company on 19th August 2007 & left on 28th January 2016 i.e. 8 yr , 5 months ,9 days completed. I paid the notice period till 8th March 2016. I am eligible for gratuity for 9 yrs or 8 yrs. i.e. Notice period paid is considered for gratuity calculation?

Hi Buddy, Buy out period should not be considered as a CONTINUOUS SERVCE according to the Gratuity Act-1972 hence get gratuity for 8 years. With Regards Mr.Thumbs Up
