Dear all,
We are a manufacturing company - Medium scale. We have decided to recruit differently able people. As a start we want to hire a receptionist. Is it fine if I mention this in the Ad I am placing in the news paper saying - "Differently able can also apply"

Gloriya - Yes! But you might want to structure the words differently. Please read case studies on Cafe Coffee Day and other employers that recruit/recruited disabled/handicapped employees and you might even save on the cost of an ad!
Just one caveat here - you need to ensure your office is functional to allow for a disabled person to work from. And do remember, the transportation scenario in India is not conducive for disabilities / handicaps sufferers so you might want to reach out to some of the HR team of CCD and other employers on how they handle such events.
Best of luck! And please let us know how this works out.

Thanks ......... As you rightly pointed out that transportation in India is a challenge to the differently abled. We need to work on all this stuff. However as you suggest I'll get in touch with CCD and check how they do it. Even Lens Kart employees the differently abled. I'll try to get in touch with these company's. Let's see how it works :)..............Thanks:)
